This work investigates the role of digital technology in language learning which can be a valuable tool in enhancing learning. The aim of this research is to discover how digital technologies can allow learners direct their learning process. It seeks to explore the role of digital technology in creating autonomous language learners. The study is based on questionnaire designed for EFLstudents in attempt to provide answers to the research questions. The questionnaire was given to 30 master one EFL students at Chedli Ben Djdid University, El Tarf during the academic year 2024/2025. The obtained results show that integrating technology in language learning enhances learner’ s autonomy in various aspects of the language, as well as it has positive impacts on the whole learning process which enhance students’ mastery of the language. These findings recommed to pay more attention to the integration of technology in language learning such as computers, and online platforms. A special focus on teachers’ training on technology use and the technical support from the administration.
